Turmeric Alleppey

Turmeric, also known as turmeric or goldenseal, belongs to the ginger family.

The best quality is provided by the ground Indian turmeric from Alleppey. Alleppey turmeric contains the highest proportion of essential oils and curcumin (yellow matter). The premium quality can be recognized by the strong yellow-orange color.

Turmeric belongs primarily to the kitchens of North Africa, the Arab countries, India and Southeast Asia. Curcuma is also the basis for all types of curry. Curcuma goes well in rice, sauces and soups and is also used to color rice, cheese, margarine and mustard.
